Sierra Joint Office on Aging

(by the Civic Center)

360 W. 4th St

T or C, NM

Last year the net proceeds of the End of Summer Car Show went to the Matthew 25 Food Pantry right here in T or C. With your help, we were able to raise over $800 which was able to provide more than 4,000 meals. In addition, we received approximately 500 pounds of non-perishable food donations. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! We couldn't have been more pleased with the success of our first car show fundraiser event.

This year our fundraiser will go to support the Sierra Joint Office on Aging (aka. the Senior Center, aka. the Meal Site) to benefit the many seniors we have in our community.

The SJOA's mission statement is: "Establish a continuum of social support and health services to meet the needs of elderly individuals and maximize their independence, enabling them to live successfully on their own terms in their own communities. The goal is to ensure the use of all available resources." Our goal at the Sierra County Car Club is to help those organizations in our community to do what they do best - serving the needs of our community. With services like; Congregate Meals, Home Delivered Meals, Transportation (assisted and unassisted), Homemaker Services, and Respite Care available through the SJOA, we are confident a donation from the Sierra County Car Club will be put to good use.

Do you have a car or truck that you'd like to show off at car shows? Do you want to be part of a group of like minded car enthusiasts like yourself?

Look no further!

One of the reasons that Sierra County Car Club was created was to bring car and truck enthusiasts together to share their love of the hobby, to learn from each other's experience, and to have a place where we can show off our rides.

Sierra County Car Club uses our love of cars and trucks as a way to offer a great fundraising opportunity to our local charities like Matthew 25 Food Pantry, Lion's Club, Abuse Shelters, Animal Shelters, Sierra Joint Office on Aging and any other organization that has a need for a fundraiser in order to better help our community.

By holding car shows and cruise-ins, we help raise money, goods or services, and awareness for our community.
